The boom boom all rounder Shahid Afrdi who was struggling to regain his form of smashing and hitting sixes all the way has been dropped from the One Day squad in the upcoming tour against India. The fans of Shahid Afridi who wanted to see him playing against India will be disappointed that their superstar will not play the One Day game. However, the good news is that the fantastic all rounder is included in the T20 squad and his fans can see him in action again but this time in shorter format game only as it suits Afridi's style.
In the recent T20 world cup game Shahid Afridi was unable to perform well in Sri Lanka. It is a golden chance for Shahid Afridi to perform well and to slam on those who said that he is not more than a tale ender.
"Dropping Afridi was a difficult decision," Pakistan's chief selector Iqbal Qasim said at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. "He is no doubt a great player and has the ability to win a game, but the decision has been taken in the interest of the team. We did retain him in the T20 squad and if he performs well he can win back his ODI place in the future. Meanwhile, we are looking for a youngster as Afridi's replacement and I am sure we will find the right man soon from the domestic circuit."
